Kermanshah (IP) - A form of Persian handmade footwear, known as 'Giveh', which is similar to a sandal, is a specialty handicraft of the people of Kermanshah Province in western Iran, and is exported to many European countries, as well as to Iraqi Kurdistan.

Iran Press/Iran news: The export of 'Giveh' to European countries has certainly picked up in recent years and the trade is now valued at $ 12-15 million annually.

These shoes account for seventy percent of Kermanshah province's handicraft exports, and 5,000 people in the province are engaged in the production of this hand-made footwear.
