Open session of Iran parliament begins on Monday at 8:25 AM

Iran's Parliament open session kicked off on Monday at 8:25 AM chaired by Speaker Ali Larijani and MPs discussed effects of gas price increase on the other commodities.

Iran Press/Iran news: The agenda for today's parliament session is to continue the discussion of the impact of increasing gas prices on other commodities, and a number of ministers and market officials were in attendance in the parliament.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Industry ,Mining and Trade, Reza Rahmani explained the impact of hiking of gas prices on other commodities and said: "One of the main concerns of the authorities and the parliament is the control of inflationary effects of rising prices on prices of other commodities," Iran Press reported.

Noting the increase of gasoline price has both real and psychological aspects Reza Rahmani added, "One of the important steps taken in this regard is first to provide the essential goods, the second to control the psychological effects of price increases and the third to intensify surveillance from the beginning of production procedure to when it gets by the consumer."

He continued to say that the rise in commodity prices was less than the increase in services.
