The participants in the 12th meeting of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening stressed the importance of Muslim unity, emphasizing support for the successes of the Islamic Resistance Front, and highlighting the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories as the most urgent issue facing the Muslim World today.

Iran Press/Iran news: The participants at the 12th meeting of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening have issued a statement forthrightly condemning America's open interference in the internal affairs of Muslim countries.

The statement says: "Islam's enemies particularly the United States and the Zionist regime want to dominate Islamic countries and control the Muslim World's resources. They also want lasting security for the Israeli regime," Iran Press reported.

The participants at the 12th meeting of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening called for the unity of the Islamic World and said the only way for Muslims to succeed is to strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and fraternity among them.

The statement also calls on Muslims to implement the teachings of the Holy Quran and to follow the traditions of the Prophet of Islam, Prophet Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny).  

The Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, Ali Akbar Velayati, as well as other senior officials, religious leaders, and academics, attended the meeting. Topics of discussion in the meeting included the Islamic awakening movement and the situation in the Muslim world, including the situation in West Asia and North Africa.

The one-day conference drew to a close in Tehran on Saturday afternoon. 101/211
