Mashhad ( IP) - Iranians mourn the grief of the Holy Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) demise and the martyrdom of his grandson Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (AS), the second Shia Imam in Mashhad city.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's nation holds on Sunday, October 27, 2019 (Safar 28, 1441 in Lunar Calendar) mourning rituals throughout the country and in holy city of Mashhad commentate the anniversary of the Holy Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) demise and the martyrdom of his grandson Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (AS), the second Shia Imam. 

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), before their death in the year 11 AH, expressed the principles of Islam in a compassionate, yet firm, way and did his best in promoting and spreading the teachings of Islam religion, Iran Press reported.

The second Imam of the world's Shias, Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (AS), lived for about thirty years in companionship with his father Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, the first Imam of the Shia world.

Imam Hassan (AS) also was martyred the same day at his 47, poisoned by his wife in the order of then-tyrant Muawiah bin Abu Sufyan.

People in Iran attend holy place including mosques, Husseinyas, Imam Reza' (AS) Holy Shrine in Mashhad of Khorasan Razavi in northwestern Iran, and the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza's sister Hazrat Fateme Masoumeh in Qom, south to Iran's capital Tehran, to mourn the day of Holy Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) pass-away and the martyrdom of his grandson Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (AS).
