The top commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, has stressed the very close working relationship between the IRGC and the Army, saying both are working hand-in-hand to upgrade Iran's defensive and deterrent capabilities.

Iran Press/Iran news: The top commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Major General Hossein Salami met with the top commander of the Iranian Army, Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, on Monday.

Salami emphasized that both the IRGC and the Army are pursuing the same goal, and both are working closely to boost Iran's defensive capabilities under the command and leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iran Press reported.

In further remarks, Major General Salami described the IRGC and the army as 'two powerful arms of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic', saying the close connections and collaboration between the IRGC and the Army goes back to the sacrifices that both made during eight years of sacred defense. 105/211
