Iran's Intelligence Minister said that the nation has grown stronger four decades since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking on the occasion of the Islamic Republic Day at Imam Khomeini shrine, Mahmoud Alavi noted that despite enemies have been using all in their power to stand against the Islamic Republic, today Iran is great power in the world. 

Intelligence Minister also stressed that the Islamic Republic Day (Farvardin 12th) is the manifestation of the public will to establish the Islamic ruling system, reported Iran Press.

Alavi went on to say that the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (RH) had always counted on people and believed that whenever the people come to the political arena, no power could stop them.

"Farvardin 12th, (April 1) showed that the Islamic political system is deep-rooted among the Iranians," said Alavi.

Iran's top intelligence official also stressed that the occasion of 12th of Fravardin should always be commemorated so that the true value of what Late Imam Khomeini has done for the nation would be explained for the people.

Iranian nation annually celebrates Farvardin 12 in the solar calendar year, which falls on April 1 in normal years and March 31 in leap years, as the anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The day is referred to as the Islamic Republic Day.

The 1979 Islamic Revolution led to the overthrow of the Pahlavi dynasty and put an end to 2,500 years of monarchic rule in Iran.101/203
