The Governor-General of Tehran has called Tehran's development documents as an effective tool and the city's road map.

Iran Press/Iran newsTehran's Governor-General Anoushirvan Mohseni-Bandpei said on Tuesday that in spite of plots, war and terrorism, Islamic Republic of Iran has successfully overcome them all.

The top Iranian official went on to stress that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's government is well-known by justice and social welfare. Speaking on the sidelines of an unveiling ceremony for Tehran development documents held in the Iranian capital, Mohseni-Bandpei said the documents are economically and socially significant and are considered an effective tool for reducing and combating social vulnerabilities, reported Iran Press.

Stressing the fact that getting to know more about a given city can lead to improvement of the urban services as well as social welfare for the citizens, Mohseni-BandPei told the reporters that the documents have been the brainchild of the academic experts rising from the different scientific fields and disciplines, aiming at identifying the scientific capacities and capabilities of Tehran so that the upcoming challenges which could affect people's lives could be handled.

Calling 'Tehran development documents' as the city's road map, Mohseni-BandPei explained further that they would include employment, cultural and educational affairs as well as human resources development.

 Development documents target social vulnerabilities 

Referring to the social harms and vulnerabilities, Mohseni-Bandpei called Tehran a unique place where the social harms are not purely from Tehran itself but rather they are the result of other towns and cities including the problems of migration from rural villages to the capital city.

According to Tehran Governor-General, the document also covers the anti-addiction programs, including preventive measures, aiming for a  5 percent reduction in the number of addicts annually.

Earlier on December 31, Faculty member and the head of the strategic council of social innovation in Tarbiat Modares University, Khosro Daneshjoo said that social problems could be solved by society-oriented solutions.  104/211/203
