Iran's Cultural Counselor to Russia, Masoud Ahmadvand, has expressed the country’s readiness to host trade tourism events for BRICS member states, citing its rich historical and cultural heritage as key strengths.

Iran Press/Europe: Speaking on Monday at the opening ceremony of the International Congress on the Development of Global Trade Tourism held in Moscow, Ahmadvand stressed the vital role of culture in promoting reciprocal trade tourism flows between Iran and BRICS nations.

He highlighted Iran's potential to become a leading destination in the MICE industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), pointing to the country’s deep-rooted civilization and 27 UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Persepolis, Naqsh-e Jahan Square, and Persian Gardens, as ideal venues for trade tourism events.

Ahmadvand also underscored the importance of enhancing cultural diplomacy through educational exchanges, academic collaborations, and student programs, calling these tools crucial for fostering mutual understanding and countering Western media propaganda against independent countries like Iran and Russia.

The Congress, which focuses on BRICS trade tourism, will conclude on Tuesday, December 17, with participation from over 129 foreign representatives from 17 countries and more than 750 experts from Moscow and across Russia.
