Iran's ambassador to Tbilisi and Georgia's attorney general have called for speeding up the signing of three legal agreements (judicial assistance, extradition, and transfer of convicts) between Iran and Georgia.

Iran Press/Iran News: On Wednesday; the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tbilisi, Javad Ghavam Shahidi, during a meeting with Irakli Shotadze, praised the role of the Georgian Prosecutor General in the process of transferring Iranian prisoners to the country and said that Judiciary, extradition, and transfer of convicts) between the two countries, as well as the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fight against narcotics are essential.

Ghavam Shahidi also referred to the legal problems of the Iranians and some of their lawsuits and called for the assistance and support of the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia to prevent their huge losses and a fair settlement of these cases.

The Prosecutor General of Georgia, Irakli Shotadze, also stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries and said: "The Public Prosecutions of Georgia is ready to develop comprehensive cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran."
