Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the meeting with the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan, Russia, emphasized the continuous communication and more effective interactions with students and residing Iranians in Tatarstan.

Iran PressEurope: Dawood Mirzakhani, the Consul General of Iran in Kazan, Russia, met the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and presented a report on the latest status of bilateral relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tatarstan and other thirteen republics and regions of the Volga Region.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed the use of active public diplomacy to introduce the capacities of Iran in the  Republic of Tatarstan.

Tatarstan officially the Republic of Tatarstan is a republic of Russia located in Eastern Europe. It is a part of the Volga Federal District; and its capital and largest city is Kazan, an important cultural centre in Russia.

In the meeting between Dawood Mirzakhani and Iran's Foreign Minister, the agreements made during the recent visit of the President of Tatarstan Rostam Minnikhanov to Tehran and Isfahan in line with the development of provincial cooperation were addressed and focused.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized the necessity of continuing to follow up on the implementation of the agreements made during the visit and meetings of the President of Tatarstan with the high-ranking officials of Iran to improve the level of cooperation in various economic, industrial, scientific, knowledge-based activities and tourism and the need to make tangible the results of cooperation between the two countries.

In this meeting, Amir-Abdollahian stressed the continuation and strengthening of continuous communication with students and resident Iranians and the facilitation of private-sector cooperation as well as the use of active public diplomacy to introduce the capacities of Iran.
