Iran Press/ West Asia:  Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, met and held talks with Mohammad Abdul Salam, the senior representative of the National Salvation Government of Yemen.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran commended the courageous support of the Yemeni nation for the oppressed Palestinian people. He considered this support a manifestation of Islamic zeal and the high human honor of the Yemeni people.

He conveyed greetings from the Iranian government and nation to the leaders of the National Salvation Government and the resilient people of Yemen.

Amir-Abdollahian expressed gratitude for the sympathy and solidarity expressed by the National Salvation Government of Yemen towards Iran concerning the terrorist act perpetrated by the Zionist regime against the diplomatic building of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, during which Iran's counter-terrorism military advisers were martyred. Describing the act as a terrorist attack employing aircraft and missiles manufactured by America, he stated: "There is no doubt that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in addition to the legal and international measures already taken, will utilize its recognized rights within the framework of international law to hold the criminal aggressors accountable and ensure they face appropriate punishment."

Amir-Abdollahian stated that the opposition of the United States, England, and France to the UN Security Council statement condemning the Zionist regime for the attack on Iran's diplomatic post in Damascus, is a clear indication of political hypocrisy. He further criticized their evident support for the crimes and activities of the Zionist regime, which, in turn, fosters instability and insecurity in the region.

He assessed the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia as progressing and developing. By announcing the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the peace talks process in Yemen, the top Iranian diplomat condemned the US and British attacks on Yemen as violations of the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He described such actions as being within the framework of their unwavering support for the ongoing crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed and resilient Palestinian nation.

Mohammad Abdul Salam, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the meeting and reaffirmed the National Salvation Government's full solidarity with Iran regarding the recent Zionist regime's attack that resulted in the martyrdom of Iranian military advisers in Damascus.

He considered the support of the National Salvation Government and the Yemeni nation for the oppressed Palestinian nation as having Islamic, moral, and humanitarian dimensions. He also emphasized that this support contributes to the security of the Arab and Islamic nations.

He stated, "If the Zionist regime wins this war, it will destroy Arab and Islamic national security, leaving nothing of the security in the Red Sea. Therefore, the position and actions of the National Salvation Government against the Zionist targets in the Red Sea enjoy the firm support of the Yemeni people."

Abdul Salam added: "In our contacts and discussions with authorities from different countries worldwide, we assured that ships of these nations in the Red Sea face no threat from the Yemeni side. In this regard, we have not made any mistakes. We have demonstrated that the propaganda spread by America, the Zionist regime, and their allies against the National Salvation Government of Yemen is false and baseless."

Honoring the exceptional support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Palestinian nation and the axis of resistance, he said: "The reason for the pressure and attacks of the United States, the Zionist regime, and their aligned axis against Iran is due to this honorable stance and Iran's distinct and outstanding support for Palestine and the axis of resistance."

Abdul Salam also elaborated on the latest developments in Yemen's political process, stating: "The American objective behind the attacks on Yemen is to escalate pressure on the Yemeni nation by exacerbating economic, medical, and humanitarian issues. We will not stand idly by and have issued the necessary warnings. The Yemeni people will never waver from their principled positions."
