Iran’s consulate general in Pakistan’s city of Quetta has condemned a spate of terrorist attacks that hit different areas in Baluchistan Province the previous day.

Iran PressAsia: The Iranian diplomatic mission issued a statement on Monday, rejecting the attacks as inhumane.

Iran’s consulate general also extended its condolences to the people and government of Pakistan. The mission expressed sympathy with the victims of the attacks that left at least six Pakistani soldiers dead.

A number of other people, including civilians, were wounded in the attacks that hit different locations in Baluchistan Province, including the provincial capital Quetta.

According to Pakistani officials, a total of nine attacks, including bomb blasts and shootouts, took place.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif condemned the violence in Baluchistan located in the southwest of Pakistan.

Local media have reported that the terrorist group, Balochistan Liberation Army, claimed responsibility for the Sunday attacks.
