Tehran (IP)- The first martyrdom anniversary of Brigadier General Seyed Mohammad Hosseinzadeh Hejazi, the Deputy Commander of the Revolution Guards Quds Force, was held on Thursday in the Ministry of Interior.

Iran PressIran news: The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Ismail Qaani, Commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, the families of the martyrs, and several state and military officials.

Brigadier General Hejazi, the Deputy Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, joined his fellow martyrs on April 18, 2021, due to injuries caused by chemical weapons dating back to the holy defense era.

Brigadier General Mohammad Hosseinzadeh Hejazi was born in 1956 in Isfahan. He graduated from the University of Tehran with a master's degree in public administration, was a doctoral student at the Faculty of National Defense in strategic management, and was also a faculty member of Imam Hossein University.

He joined the IRGC at the beginning of the revolution and played a role in strengthening the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Resistance Front.

Brigadier General Hejazi was the commander of the Basij Resistance Force for ten years and had worked hard to organize the Basij after the holy defense era.

 Commander of the IRGC and Lt General Qassem Soleimani also served for a short time as the Cheif of the IRGC Joint Staff. As the Deputy Chief Commander of the IRGC, he was in the service of the Islamic Ummah on the resistance front.

He was appointed as the Deputy Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps on January 20, 2017, by order of Major General "Hossein Salami," Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps.
