Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman for Iran's Constitutional Council stated that the bill to allow the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the sixth round of capital stock increase of the Development Bank was approved.

Iran PressIran News: Attending his press briefing on Saturday, Hadi Tahan-Nazif noted: "The bill allowing the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the sixth round of capital stock increase of the Development Bank was not considered as contradicting the Sharia and the Constitution."

Iran's Constitutional Council facilitates childbearing process

The Spokesman for Iran's Constitutional Council said that an article has added to the law on the protection of the family and the youth of the population so that those who had not yet done their military service can also enjoy the childbearing facilities and start a family.

Tahan-Nazif said: "One of the obstacles to benefiting from the marriage and childbearing facilities was doing military service, which after reviewing the approval of "the plan to add an article to the law on the protection of the family and the youth of the population" in the Guardian Council, which was not considered as contradicting the Sharia and the Constitution, from now on, people who have not yet done their military service can also enjoy and use this facility."

The measure has been taken to help the Iranian families with childbearing process and encouraging them in this regard.

All bodies try to hold healthy, competitive elections

The Iranian official stated that the Constitutional Council and other executive organizations are making their best to hold healthy, safe, and competitive elections in 2024.

In response to Iran Press correspondent Hadi Tahan-Nazif said that various meetings have been held to evaluate the pathology of the past elections and facilitate the current process of the upcoming elections.

He went on to stress: "All we try to do and implement in cooperation with other executive bodies is to hold the elections perfectly."

Constitutional Council seeks financial transparency of election candidates

Hadi Tahan-Nazif told reporters on Saturday that the law on the financial transparency of the election candidates was approved in 2019, but was not enforced due to the lack of time and facilities; therefore, the Constitutional Council is now determined to prepare the grounds for its implementation for the coming elections. 

He also reported the law on the transparency of the country's three branches of power under examination in the Expediency Council.

Still, with regard to the election campaigns law, he stressed that if any campaign-in-advance is reported to the Constitutional Council, it will surely adopt due measures. 

He called on the political parties and individuals to abide by the law and pursue a healthy election. 

Import of used cars does not violate Islamic Law

He also noted that according to the Guardian Council and the approval of the Expediency Council's Supreme Board of Supervision, the import of used cars has come into effect. 

Tahan Nazif shared that the Guardian Council has reviewed 86 resolutions, including plans, bills, and statutes, from last year until now.  

According to him, the GC has examined 115 inquiries from the Administrative Justice Court in 153 meetings and provided answers to relevant bodies within a year.

The spokesman stated that the bill to regulate the import of used cars was reviewed in the council's meetings and found to comply with Islamic law. The Supreme Board of Supervision has approved the bill, and it can now be forwarded to the appropriate organizations for implementation.
