Iranian Foreign Minister has held talks with his Belarussian counterpart over a wide range of areas of bilateral cooperation in light of agreements signed during President Lukashenko's visit to Tehran in political, economic, scientific, cultural, and consular areas.

Iran press/ Asia: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Sergei Fyodorovich Aleinik were meeting on the sidelines of the meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement’s foreign ministers in Baku, capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

Amir-Abdollahian and Aleinik also discussed regional and international issues and cooperation between Tehran and Minsk in regional and international organizations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Belarus foreign ministers discussed the roadmap the two sides created following the recent meeting between their presidents in Tehran regarding the agreements. Amir-Abdollahian and Aleinik also exchanged views on following them up and taking action.

They stressed the need to speed up the implementation of the deals in order to increase trade exchanges, carry out joint industrial projects and engage in transportation and transit cooperation.
