Tehran (IP) - The Guardian Council Spokesman announced that the law on the temporary agreement to establish a free trade zone between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union and its member states was approved by the Guardian Council.

Iran PressIran News: In his press brief on Saturday, May 13, 2023, Hadi Tahan-Nazif further highlighted that the amendment Protocol Bill to the agreement between Iran and the Government of Iraq in order to avoid double taxation and exchange information on income and capital taxes was approved.

Iran-EUEU free-trade zone extended 

Guardian Council Spokesman Hadi Tahan Nazif stated: "Temporary agreement to establish a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is extended."

Tahan Nazif on the latest issues in the Guardian Council said: "8 Parliament bills, 8 proposed administration amendments, and 8 inquiries which referred to the Administrative Justice Court for verification were examined by the Guardian Council."

He stated: "One of the additional amendment bills is the protocol for the extension of the temporary agreement on the establishment of an Iran-EAEU mutual trades and also free trades with EAEU member states free trade which was examined in the meeting of the Guardian Council and was not found to be against the Islamic Law and the Constitution."

"Amendment protocol of the agreement between Iran and Iraq in order to avoid double taxation and exchange information on income and capital taxes had examined in the previous stage and resulted in a minor flaw, which was not found to be against Islamic Law and the Constitution after the amendment of the parliament."
