Iran Press/ Iran News: Kickboxing is a combat sport focused on kicking and punching, dating back to 1960s. The combat takes place in a boxing ring, normally with boxing gloves, mouthguards, shorts, and bare feet to favour the use of kicks.
Due to the technical performance of the Iranian kickboxing team among the Asian teams in the Italian tournament and in previous years, Iran was chosen as the head of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in Asia.
As a result of the voting session of the XFC's technical committee Alireza Rouhparvar, the head of Iran's kickboxing team in 2022 Italian tournament, was appointed as the head of XFC in Asia for a 4-year term.
