Iran Press/ Iran news: Khalifa bin Said Al Busaidi, leading a high-ranking judicial delegation from Oman, met with Ghalibaf in Tehran today, Sunday, December 15, 2024. The visit highlights the strengthening judicial ties and broader cooperation between the two nations.
Ghalibaf opened the meeting by warmly welcoming the Omani delegation and expressing hope that the visit would further bolster bilateral cooperation. He emphasized the strategic opportunities for political and economic collaboration between Iran and Oman, particularly at the parliamentary level.
"The strong ties between our parliamentary leaders and friendship groups are a testament to the deep connections between our nations. We hope this judicial visit will further enhance relations," Ghalibaf remarked.
Turning to broader regional issues, Ghalibaf expressed deep concern over recent events in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. He accused the Israeli regime of widespread atrocities over the past year, including renewed aggression in Syria and bombings that threaten regional stability.
"The Zionist regime seeks to expand its territorial ambitions and sow insecurity across the region," Ghalibaf said. "It is the duty of Islamic leaders and nations to stand united against these crimes and prevent further escalation."
He also warned against the role of terrorist groups in destabilizing regional countries, urging Muslim nations to maintain solidarity to counter these threats.
Chief Justice Al Busaidi, acknowledging the challenging circumstances facing many Islamic countries, aligned Oman’s stance with Iran's, stressing the need for practical solutions to stop ongoing atrocities in the region.
Al Busaidi highlighted the importance of Islamic countries presenting a unified voice against aggression in the region. "If we had witnessed stronger unity among Muslim nations, the Zionist regime could have been weakened long ago," he said.
