Iran and China not only enjoy strategic bilateral relations but also share common and closely aligned positions on various international issues, stated Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister for Legal and International Affairs at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his visit to Beijing.

Iran Press/Asia:   In a post shared on his official account on the X social media platform on Thursday, Gharibabadi reported on his meeting with Ma Zhaoxu, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China. The discussion centered on the recent negotiations between Iran and the three European countries in Geneva regarding the feasibility of resuming talks on nuclear issues and lifting sanctions.

"We emphasized the need to maintain ongoing consultations on significant international matters and to further strengthen coordination and joint cooperation in international organizations," he added.

Highlighting the strong alignment between Tehran and Beijing, Gharibabadi noted, "Iran and China, in addition to their strategic bilateral ties, share common positions on numerous international issues."

He further underlined the importance of continued dialogue and systematic engagement with China on various legal and international matters to deepen collaboration. "Iran and China are united in their opposition to unilateralism and share a mutual vision for strengthening the Global South and promoting fair and just global governance," Gharibabadi remarked.

This visit underscores the growing significance of Iran-China relations, especially amid global challenges, as both nations seek to foster a multilateral world order that prioritizes equity and collective decision-making over unilateral actions.
