Iran Press/ Iran news: Over 20 countries from the Indian Ocean rim participated in the forum. Iran was represented by the Investment and Technical and Economic Assistance Organization, led by Abolfazl Koudeei, the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and Head of the Organization for Investment and Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran.
During the forum, Koudeei met with the Deputy Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency. During their meeting, the implementation of two projects in Iran was confirmed, and the memorandum of understanding between the two countries was signed.
As one of the invited speakers at the forum, Koudeei outlined the potential for bilateral and multilateral cooperation among the countries bordering the Indian Ocean and China. He offered suggestions for joint investment, focusing on maritime economies, blue economy capacities, and new technologies to enhance cooperation opportunities and increase regional exchanges.
China's global development initiative, alongside recent initiatives such as the Belt and Road, Digital Silk Road, Health Silk Road, and Global Security Initiative, has provided a favorable platform for Iran to play a significant regional role, fostering shared benefits and joint projects between Iran, regional countries, and China.
