Turkey (IP) - The President of the Islamic Republic expressed hope that the efforts of the Iranian and Turkish businessmen would increase the level of trade ties between the two countries by up to 30 billion dollars.

Iran PressAsia: After the signing ceremony of the MoUs between Turkey and Iran, the presidents of the two countries attended the meeting with Iranian and Turkish businessmen. 

Before the meeting, Raisi said at the joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart on the sidelines of the MoU signing ceremony, that the two countries are determined in the first step of their economic plan to reach a $30 billion volume of trade.

At the meeting, Ebrahim Raisi said that Iran's neighbor-centered policy cooperation with Turkey not only in political areas but also in trade, cultural, and other areas. 

He said that Iran has many common views with Turkey on regional and international issues.

Raisi told the businessmen who attended the meeting that the message of the two countries' presidents to them was that the problems ahead of the two nations would be removed through hard and progressive cooperation. 

Heading a top-ranking delegation Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Turkey, on Wednesday, to attend the Supreme Economic Council, officially welcomed by the President of this country, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the Ak Saray Presidential Palace.
