Meeting with the Sudanese Minister of Finance, Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade discussed the formation of a joint economic commission to expand the trade operations between the two countries.

Iran PressIran news: The two ministers then talked about the establishment of the Iranian-Sudanese Trade Center in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. 

Jibril Ibrahim Muhammad Fudail, Sudan's Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, arrived in Tehran on Wednesday evening while heading an economic delegation and met with Iranian officials, including his Iranian counterpart. 

Iran's Industry Minister Mohammad Atabak told the Sudanese minister in the meeting that Iran is interested in technical engineering cooperation with Sudan.

"In all sectors of mining copper, iron ore, etc., we use domestic capabilities and do not need foreign technologies," Atabak said.

Fudail, for his part, called Iran a civilized country that has gained very valuable experiences in using its domestic capabilities despite the West's cruel sanctions in recent years.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has taken great steps for industrial and economic development, which Sudan needs to benefit from the experiences achieved, he said.

Sudan is located in northeastern Africa and thanks to the Nile River it enjoys fertile soil and livestock products as well as rich mineral resources, especially gold.
