Iran’s Foreign Minister, who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka, met with his Sri Lankan counterpart to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Iran PressAsia: Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has met with his Sri Lankan counterpart Ali Sabry to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Amirabdollahian, who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka, met Sabry on Tuesday.

The two sides, during their diplomatic session, exchanged views on the latest developments and issues of mutual interest.

A joint meeting of the delegations of the two countries was also convened in a bid to discuss the expansion of bilateral relations in various areas.

The top Iranian diplomat arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday.

As part of his trip, Amir-Abdollhian is scheduled to meet Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and President Ranil Wickremesinghe. 219
