Tehran(IP): The foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia discussed regional and international developments, including the recent events in Rafah in the Gaza Strip.

The top diplomats of Iran, and Saudi Arabia, in this phone call, discussed the bilateral relations between Tehran and Riyadh and regional and international developments, including the recent developments in Rafah, and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, on Feb 1, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran invited the Saudi Foreign Minister to visit Tehran.

In Amir-Abdollahian's telephone conversation with Bin Farhan, some bilateral issues, areas of cooperation between the two countries, and regional issues were discussed.

Expressing their concern about the continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people, both sides emphasized the need to end the crimes of the occupying regime, lift the humanitarian blockade and establish peace in the region. 219
