Moscow (IP) - Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian and his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev discussed a wide range of bilateral, regional, and international issues, underscoring the strengthening alliance between the two nations.

Iran PressEurope: The discussions delved into security cooperation, defense matters, developments in West Asia, and the ongoing Israeli regime's atrocities in the Gaza Strip.

Patrushev expressed his condolences to the Iranian government and people for the recent terrorist attack in Kerman, highlighting the importance of joint efforts to combat terrorism.

He emphasized the imminent signing of a comprehensive cooperation document between Iran and Russia, stating: "This comprehensive document will pave the way for strategic cooperation between the two states, elevating the relations between Iran and Russia to a new level of depth and breadth."

Ahmadian conveyed his gratitude for the sympathy extended by the Russian president and officials following the tragic Kerman attack, reiterating Iran's unwavering commitment to combating terrorism. He lauded Russia's constructive stance on the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need to halt the Israeli regime's crimes against humanity against the Palestinian people.

Upon his arrival in Moscow on Tuesday night, Ahmadian told Iran Press correspondent that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia are on the verge of partnership, signaling a new era of cooperation between the two countries.
