The potential benefits of bilateral cooperation in constructing the Rasht-Astara Railway within the INSTC framework were highlighted during the meeting.
According to Iran's Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Deputy Minister Pavlov noted a remarkable 400 percent increase in containerized cargo transportation from the eastern side of INSTC through ‘Sarakhs’ and ‘Inchehboroun’ customs in the first quarter of this year compared to last year.
Furthermore, ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Moscow are focused on establishing tariffs for transporting chemical fertilizer and coal from Russia to Iran, as well as destinations like the United Arab Emirates and India.
