In a meeting with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi on Monday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran’s commitment to fostering peace and security in the region and among all Islamic nations.

Iran PressIran news:  President Masoud Pezeshkian described the ties between Iran and Oman as long-standing, sincere, and rooted in mutual trust. “The continuation and further development of these constructive relations are of great importance to the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he stated.

He referred to the upcoming meeting of the Iran-Oman Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, noting, “Significant steps are being taken to accelerate the implementation of previous agreements and to reach new understandings that will benefit both nations.”

The president highlighted the pivotal role of Oman in Iran’s foreign policy, which focuses on strengthening relations with Islamic countries and neighboring nations. “It is unacceptable for regional countries and Muslim nations to be divided, allowing entities like the Zionist regime to exploit these divisions to harm them,” he asserted.

Echoing this sentiment, the Omani foreign minister conveyed Sultan Haitham bin Tariq’s warm greetings to Iran’s Supreme Leader, President, and people. He praised the historical and rooted relations between the two nations, stating that these ties are built on trust and goodwill.

“The expansion of relations with Iran is a constant principle for Oman,” said al-Busaidi. He underscored the exemplary nature of the Iran-Oman partnership, which is based on mutual respect and trust. “We remain committed to supporting the prudent approaches of the Iranian government in domestic and foreign policy, and I will personally ensure that our shared objectives are realized through practical efforts,” he added.
