Kuala Lumpur (IP) - A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Cultural Counsellor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Malaysia and the Abu Ali Sina Academy of Malaysia to expand cooperation in culture and Islamic medicine.

Iran Press/Asia: To expand joint relations and cooperation in education, evaluation, consulting, and research, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Cultural Counsellor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Malaysia and the Abu Ali Sina (Avicenna) Academy of Malaysia.

The memorandum of understanding was signed between Habib-Reza Arzani, Cultural Counsellor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Malaysia, and Muhammad Saifullah bin Yusuf, Managing Director of the Abu Ali Sina Academy of Malaysia.

The mutual efforts to promote the name of Abu Ali Sina and the noble sciences that he brought to life, revive health tourism, and invite Malaysian teams to complete supplementary courses in traditional and Islamic medicine in Iran and treatment are among the axes of this memorandum.

Developing joint programs with Islamic medicine centers in Iran, traveling to Iran to learn more about the enormous potential of traditional and Islamic medicine, and holding joint workshops between scholars and enthusiasts of traditional medicine in Iran and Malaysia are other provisions of this memorandum.

It is also planned that after holding training courses, a valid certificate will be awarded by the Abu Ali Sina Academy in Malaysia; this certificate is approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Health.

Holding traditional and Islamic medicine courses in Iran to strengthen health tourism for Malaysian citizens is another provision of this memorandum.
