Iran’s Minister of Information and Communications Technology and the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Air and Space Industry of Kazakhstan, in a meeting, exchanged views on the expansion of cooperation in the fields of information technology, infrastructure, e-government and research communication.

Iran PressAsia: According to the Iran Press news agency, Sattar Hashemi has traveled to Kazakhstan to attend a ministerial meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, known as ESCAP, in a meeting with 'Zhaslan Madiyev' said that Iran is ready to cooperate with Kazakhstan in the development of digital technologies.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran also in the meeting with the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations and the Executive Secretary of SCAP, referred to the past cooperation between Iran and SCAP, and said that a joint plan between Iran and SCAP will be defined regarding the role of technologies in dealing with natural disasters. 

ESCAP is one of the five regional commissions under the jurisdiction of the UN Economic and Social Council. It was established to increase economic activity in Asia and the Far East and is made up of 53 member states and 9 associate members.
