Iran's acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani has met with Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi who is on an official visit to Tehran to discuss issues of West Asian region.

Iran Press/Iran news:  Safadi, who arrived in Tehran earlier on Sunday, is also scheduled to meet and exchange views with other Iranian officials on regional and international issues during his trip.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry said in a statement earlier in the day that Safadi will also deliver a message from King Abdullah II to the Iranian president on “the situation in the region and bilateral relations.”

Moreover, Safadi said that he has not conveyed a message from Israeli regime and this trip is focused on ties between Iran and Jordan.

The Jordanian foreign minister’s rare visit comes a day after he held two phone calls with his Iranian and Egyptian counterparts about the consequences of the Israeli regime’s assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

Earlier,  Iranian Acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani in his X account described the outcomes of telephone conversations with his Jordanian and Egyptian foreign ministers on Saturday evening which was the second time of conversation in the past 48 hours.
