Iran PressAmerica: Bagheri Kani is in New York at the invitation of Russia as the rotating president of the UN Security Council to attend two Security Council meetings.

He has held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from multiple countries, including foreign ministers of Russia, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Hungary, as well as with international figures on the sidelines of the Security Council meetings.

Bagheri Kani had previously talked with Denise Francis, the president of the UN General Assembly.

In a meeting with Ali Bagheri, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran in New York,  Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, expressed her deep concern about the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

According to Iran press, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Bagheri, who is in New York to participate in two meetings of the Security Council regarding Palestine and multilateralism, met and discussed with Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, as part of her diplomatic consultations. .

In this meeting, Bagheri thanked the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding Palestine and Gaza, described the human conditions of the oppressed Palestinian people as very worrying and said: "Unfortunately, the politicized, double standards and wrong approaches have so far made the efforts to end the Gaza crisis remain fruitless.".

He further admitted: "Unfortunately, more than twenty people are killed and injured in Gaza every hour; What happened is a human tragedy. The international community must quickly stop the Zionist regime and hold it accountable."

In this meeting, Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, expressed her deep concern about the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, thanking the Islamic Republic of Iran for its assistance to the Red Cross.

Explaining the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross in sending aid and reducing the humanitarian suffering of the residents of Gaza, she said that she would use all his efforts to send humanitarian aid to Gaza.203
