Tehran (IP)- Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi announced late Thursday night that the blaze at Gandhi Hospital had been successfully contained and extinguished.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Interior Minister, Ahmad Vahidi commended the rapid response of emergency personnel, whose "swift actions" brought the fire under control and prevented further damage.

"Thanks to the prompt reaction of the rescue team, the fire at Gandhi Hospital was contained," Vahidi declared, assuring the public that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, and results will be made public as soon as they become available.

Earlier in the evening, the Tehran Fire Department reported a major fire outbreak at Gandhi Hospital located on Valiasr Street. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the public was advised to avoid the area. 219
