Tehran (IP)- The International Quds Day rallies began on Friday across Iran and other countries with people from different walks of life showing their solidarity with the oppressed and resilient people of Palestine.

Iran Press/Iran News: The rallies to mark 'International Quds Day' on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan and at the same time with the reduction of the COVID-19 pandemic in Iran, began; people as well as military and state officials throughout the country and the world show their solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and condemn Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the occupied territories.

The rallies in Iran, organized by the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council (IPCC), started at 10 a.m. local time (0530 GMT) in Tehran and some 900 others cities and towns across the country.

Also, since last night, many people-oriented groups, along with revolutionary institutions and non-governmental organizations, have been stationed along the rally routes to carry out special cultural programs.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces brutally attacked fasting Muslims in Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday morning.

Following this brutal attack, Zionist militias attacked and beat the Palestinians.

According to the report, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the Zionist regime's military had used plastic bullets against those present in Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a result of which 45 Palestinians were seriously injured.

International Quds Day rallies in Qom

International Quds Day procession was held in the streets around the holy shrine of Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS) in Qom, south of Tehran, in the presence of a wide range of people, immigrants, and foreign scholars.

The people of Qom and the marchers carried the big Palestinian flag on Al-Quds Day, chanting slogans in support of the Palestinian people and emphasizing the liberation of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Afghan immigrants living in Qom and foreign scholars also took part in the International Quds Day rally in Qom, renewing allegiance to the Palestinian cause with Palestinian flags, resistance groups, and photographs of General Qasem Soleimani, the senior commander of the Resistance Front.

Since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the atmosphere in Jerusalem and the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque has been inflamed and tense due to the continuing attacks by Zionist militias and settlers, in addition to the martyrdom and wounding of a number of Palestinians, dozens of them have been arrested.

On the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, by the initiative of the late Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, people across the world show united support for the oppressed people of Palestine; it is for about 43 years that the people of the world have held rallies on the occasion of International Quds Day to protest against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and support the oppressed people of the country.

Today, Iran's policy toward the Palestinian issue is pinpointed. The Islamic Republic of Iran supports anybody who supports the Palestinian cause and fights the Israeli regime anywhere in the world.

Since 1948 when the US-backed regime of Israel occupied the Muslim country, it has constantly been clashing with the Palestinian people, killing them, jailing them, destroying their homes, and constructing new settlements for the Zionist settlers.
