Tehran(IP)-The Ambassador of India to Iran said that New Delhi seeks to diversify its economic relations with Tehran.

Iran PressIran News: The ceremony of the 77th anniversary of India's independence was held, on Tuesday night, August 15, 2023, with the presence of "Ali Bagheri Kani," the Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, "Gholam Ali Haddad Adel," the head of the Persian Language and Literature Academy, ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries in Tehran and a group of activists in the field of relations between Tehran and Delhi.

Indian Ambassador to Iran Rudra Gaurav Shresth, at the ceremony of the 77th anniversary of India's independence in Tehran, referring to the plans of Iran and India for the development of bilateral relations, said:" India wants to benefit from the strategic region and the territory of the friendly country "Iran" to reach the markets of Eurasia and Central Asia, for this reason, India has a partnership in the North-South trade corridor and the Chabahar port project."

The Indian ambassador also added about the security cooperation between the two countries: "Tehran and Delhi have exchanged views on important regional issues that are common concerns of the two countries, such as the situation in Afghanistan or security and stability in the Persian Gulf."

Regarding the delay in relations between Iran and India, Gaurav Shresth also said: "The people and leaders of the two countries look at each other with friendship, trust and mutual respect and there is absolutely no point of friction between Iran and India."
