IP - The Palestinian Health Ministry says Israel waits up to three days before responding to exit requests, leading to rapid deterioration in patient conditions to the point of death.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The information gathered by Physicians for Human Rights-Israel (PHRI) also indicates that many patients in Gaza do not have any access to medical care, including cancer and kidney patients, for whom any delay in treatment is life-threatening.

According to PHRI, Physicians for Human Rights-Israel has said that only 430 Palestinians out of over 49,000 wounded have been transferred so far to Egypt.

“To date, only around 500 of patients at high risk including at least 1,000 kidney failure, 2,000 cancer patients, 130 neonates in incubators, were able to leave for treatment in Turkey, the UAE, and Qatar.”

Meanwhile, parts of the Gaza Strip are currently experiencing flooding due to the heavy rainfall.

In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, emergency response teams are struggling to transfer casualties as the heavy rainfall, along with the malfunction of water pumps due to Israeli air strikes on the Abu Rashid reservoir, have washed garbage and debris into the streets.

Also, as Israeli bombardments rang out in the background, emergency staff were forced to carry a young boy and a woman out of an ambulance after unsuccessfully trying to direct the vehicle through a flooded path.

It’s especially worrying for those who evacuated their houses and followed the orders of the Israeli occupation forces to flee to the south and, in particular, in the al-Mawasi area.

People here face a dramatic and deteriorating situation as they have moved from living in concrete houses to camps with tents that lack all kinds of basic needs.

Amid the acceleration of humanitarian catastrophes in Gaza, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) says the situation in the camp “continues to deteriorate” as it has been under siege by Israeli forces since Tuesday.

“There are dozens of distress calls to evacuate the sick, and ambulance crews have been unable to reach them due to the army’s obstructions,” it said.
