Sarajevo(IP): The international meeting of mysticism in Islamic civilization was held with the presence of the head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication and the ambassador of Iran in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Bosniak Institute in Sarajevo.

Iran PressEurope: The International Conference of Mysticism in Islamic Civilization was held in the presence of the head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication and the ambassador of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Bosniak Institute in Sarajevo.

According to Iranpress, a group of professors from the universities of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Turkey, Macedonia and the Islamic Republic of Iran also attended and delivered a speech at The International Conference of Mysticism in Islamic Civilization hosted by Sarajevo.

The International Conference of Mysticism in Islamic Civilization in a bid to examine the impact of Ibn Arabi school in the Balkans and Turkey and the role of mysticism in Islamic civilization in cooperation with Iran's Cultural Consultancy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Center for Dialogue of Religions and Cultures of Iran's Islamic Culture and Communication Organization in Sarajevo.

Abuzar Ebrahimi, Iran's ambassador to Sarajevo, while attending this international event, said that helping the oppressed was a unique feature of Imam Khomeini (RA),  and this attitude of his, arising from a mystical view and  paying attention to the place of God's caliph for humans, is the same idea that became the foundation of the great Islamic civilization in a short time after the Prophet of Islam's first Revelation .

Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour, head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization of Iran (ICCO), also said at The International Conference of Mysticism in Islamic Civilization:" Imam Khomeini (RA) referred to "Ibn Arabi" as Sheikh Akbar and Sheikh Arif."

The head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization of Iran added: Imam Khomeini (RA) in his historic letter to Mikhail Gorbachev, the last leader of the Soviet Union, recommended to refer to the works of Ibn Arabi and Ibn Sina (Avicenna) to learn about Islam. 219
