Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Health said that there are 15 science and technology parks, 114 growth centers, 14 innovation centers, and 1,444 knowledge-based companies in the country, and 5,980 health-oriented products have been produced by these companies, of which 1,000 303 products have received food and drug licenses and 740 products have been commercialized.

Iran Press/Iran news The fourth national event on knowledge-based Industry was held in Pardis Technology Park (PTP) on February 15, 2024, with the presence of  Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy; Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi; Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister, Abbas Ali-Abadi; Minister of Health Bahram Ainollahi.

Iran's Health Minister Bahram Eynollahi stated that 2,500 health elites are active in the country, and in the past year, 335 new inventions have been registered in the field of health, which is very innovative.

He further stated: 1,444 knowledge-based companies were active in the field of health, and 45% of these companies were in the field of producing drugs, vaccines, and active pharmaceutical ingredients, 40% in the field of medical equipment, and 15% in the field of supplements and food and pharmaceutical products.

In his remarks, Iran's Health Minister noted: One of the approaches of the Ministry of Health is that pharmacy students have a link with the pharmaceutical industry and related companies so that we can see the results in the production of medicines needed by the health system.

He said: The treatment of all types of cancer, the development of treatment through stem cells and the development of accelerators are prioritized. 219
