The Hamas movement strongly rejected the Israeli regime's claim of targeting resistance fighters in the tents of the refugees in the Al-Mawasi area in the south of Gaza. The incident resulted in at least 100 Palestinians killed or injured.

Iran Press/West Asia: Hamas announced in a statement: The new heinous crime committed by the Zionist occupying army in Mawasi Khan Yunis, after which the occupying fighters landed among the tents of the displaced with heavy bombs, once again led to the martyrdom of dozens of civilians, most of whom were women and children.

This statement adds that the brutal targeting of civilians, including women, children and the elderly, in an area that the Israeli regime had declared a safe zone, shows the intention of this regime to continue the genocide against the Palestinian nation and is a heinous and intentional massacre. The Israeli regime shows its disregard for international and humanitarian laws and rulings issued by international courts in stopping the attacks on Gaza.

Hamas added: "The Palestinian resistance has repeatedly denied the presence of its members in civilian gatherings or the use of these places for military purposes."

On the other hand, the Palestinian resistance movement, by issuing this statement, considered the horrific killing of Khan Yunis as a continuation of the genocide with American weapons and held the US government and its criminal president responsible for this crime and the massacre of Palestinians.

Israeli Strike on Khan Yunis

Many are feared killed and wounded after Israeli forces struck a humanitarian zone created to shelter displaced people in southern Gaza

Gazan authorities said dozens of Palestinian families had been buried in the strike on a crowded displacement camp and that a search was underway to locate victims.

The strike hit Al-Mawasi, a coastal region close to Khan Younis where tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians have fled, many living in tents in an area with sparse infrastructure, scant access to shelter, or life-saving humanitarian aid.

The Israeli war on Gaza is just expanding and claiming lives in the Gaza Strip and recently in the West Bank, the deteriorating consequences of which are being exposed every day after day in reports.

The Israeli regime has so far killed over 42,000 people, injured over 94,000 others, and displaced thousands to destroy the Palestinian resistance groups, especially Hamas, and take back Israeli captives. Still, it has not so far reached any of its objectives.  Unprecedented starvation due to famine, destruction of infrastructure, and devastation of hospitals are other crises Israel has brought to the people of Gaza.
