IP - A senior Hamas leader has noted that the group will not succumb to intense pressure to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza without the fulfillment of resistance conditions.

Iran Press/West Asia: An unnamed senior leader of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance (Hamas) told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Hamas remains unwavering in its stance against any agreement that does not satisfy the resistance's conditions.

He said that despite the heavy pressure on the resistance in Gaza to accept an agreement that does not meet their essential conditions, Hamas will not succumb to this pressure nor legitimize the occupiers in Gaza under any circumstances. Hamas will steadfastly maintain its previous positions and conditions.

Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported that the occupying regime aims to seize 50 kilometers of Gaza territory as buffer or safe zones. Hamas and other resistance groups oppose this plan, demanding the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, a comprehensive ceasefire, and the reconstruction of Gaza as conditions for the release of Israeli captives. Meanwhile, Egypt is mediating, urging the occupying regime to lower its demands to end the conflict.

Egyptian Delegation in Tel Aviv Amid Gaza Crisis

Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported that an Egyptian security delegation, sent by the Egyptian intelligence agency, visited Tel Aviv to discuss a prisoner exchange with Israeli officials. The delegation aimed to advance negotiations for a potential agreement.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli regime has initiated a devastating war against the Gaza Strip. During this period, 70% of homes and infrastructure in Gaza have been severely damaged. The ongoing blockade and severe humanitarian crisis, coupled with unprecedented famine and hunger, continue to threaten the lives of the residents in the region.

Despite these atrocities, the Israeli regime has conceded that after over a year of conflict, it has yet to achieve its objectives: eradicating the Hamas movement and securing the return of Israeli captives from the Gaza Strip.
