Iran Press/West Asia: In a statement released today, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) strongly denounced the ongoing atrocities committed by the Israeli regime against the vulnerable population of Gaza.
The statement highlighted that despite 455 days passing since the start of the Gaza War, the oppressive Israeli regime persists in carrying out acts of genocide, ethnic cleansing, forced displacement of Palestinians, targeting medical facilities, enforcing a complete siege on Gaza, and impeding the entry of crucial medical and humanitarian aid into the region.
Hamas emphasized that these egregious actions are being enabled through the support and collaboration of Western nations, including the United States and the UK.
Hamas declared the ongoing indirect talks with the Israeli regime in Doha today to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and facilitate a prisoner exchange between the two sides in a statement, underscoring: "This round of negotiations will focus on reaching a complete ceasefire agreement and the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza."
Hamas urges the World Health Organization and Red Cross to intervene, deploy international observers to Gaza hospitals, and safeguard Palestinians against ongoing occupation regime atrocities.
The movement further condemned the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah, asserting, "The security forces of the Palestinian Authority are engaging in criminal activities in Jenin, serving only the interests of the Israelis."
Recent days have seen Palestinian Authority security forces, in collaboration with the Israeli regime, conducting raids in multiple West Bank regions, including the Jenin camp. The incursion sparked a confrontation between resistance fighters and the forces, resulting in a heated clash.
Palestinian people and militant groups have announced on various occasions that this organization, instead of defending Palestinians, has become the executive arm of the Israeli regime in the West Bank and Quds, and is trying to limit the activities of Palestinian fighters against the occupiers.
