Tehran (IP)- Hakim Children's Hospital, in District 18 of Tehran, was opened on Thursday, October 10 with the presence of President Raisi, and the Minister of Health, and Medical Education.

Iran PressIran news: Based on the physical and mental needs of children, the hospital was built to improve the quality of children's medical services.

Green space, natural light, easy access, extensive facilities, and treatment services for children are among the features of the hospital.     

The philanthropist 'Motahari family' built this 266-bed hospital with 29,650 square meters of infrastructure on a 50,000 square meter land of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

The hospital is comprised of 19 specialized clinics, 8 surgical rooms, special care with 63 beds, an emergency room, an outpatient operating room, and imaging (CT scan machines, MRI, cardiography, scoping department).

Hakim Hospital biologically filtrates 380 cubic meters of wastewater daily with modern environmental facilities.

The hospital, as the first specialized government children's hospital, was opened in the southwest of Tehran, an underprivileged area, with the presence of the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Health Minister Bahram Eynollahi.

The President said in the opening ceremony of the hospital that Iranian people have a lot of faithful help. People's help and presence have solved many problems. We have succeeded wherever people have shown their presence.
