Iran Press/Iran news: Eshaq Jahangiri made the remark on Saturday whilst visiting the flood-stricken areas.
During his visit, the first vice president was informed about the conditions of the flood-stricken people and how local health services were coping with the disaster, IRNA reported.
Referring to aid destined for quake-stricken areas of the western province of Kermanshah, Jahangiri said the government, armed forces, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and the Iranian Red Crescent Society were also providing necessary support for flood victims.
He went on to say that the Iranian government will stand by people in all difficulties.
Also, speaker of parliament Ali Larijani during his trip to Mazandaran province called for urgent aid to flood victims and speedy reconstruction of infrastructure and housing swept away by the floodwaters.
In the meantime, Iran's Minister of Interior Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli after visiting the flood-stricken regions of Golestan province said the people have access to all their basic needs and aid workers are doing everything they can to ensure life gets back to normal as soon as possible.
First Vice President Jahangiri also ordered the Interior Minister Rahmani Fazli to stay in the flood-affected areas until the emergency was over and life got back to normal for the local population.
Golestan and Mazandaran provinces in the north of the country have been affected by heavy downpours over the past few days. The flooding has forced many people to abandon their homes in Golestan and Mazandaran provinces. The cities of Aqqala and Gomishan in Golestan province have borne the brunt of the floods. Evacuation orders have been issued in areas which are particularly badly affected to prevent further human losses. 104/211/213
