Iran Press/ Iran news: The oldest, and most beautiful national park in Iran is a unique sanctuary for wildlife, which has 1,350 species of plants and 302 species of animals, including half of all Iranian mammal species in an area of about 900 square kilometers.
There are different species of deer and gazelle as well as brown bears in Golestan National Park and the most important animal species in this beautiful and old park is the Persian leopard. Due to its size, the Persian leopard is the largest subspecies of leopard, which is native to West Asia and is on the endangered species list.
Golestan National Park competes with many European countries in terms of environmental diversity and also the existence of accommodation, wildlife watching, natural beauty, waterfalls, and lakes are among the most spectacular and tourist attractions of the oldest national park in Iran.
The natural condition of Golestan National Park has led to the formation of suitable habitats for the life of wild mammals and has increased the species of these animals.
Golestan National Park is known as one of the 50 ecological reserves of the planet in the world and has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Golestan National Park has also been registered as the 15th national monument in the list of the natural heritage of Iran.
