Iran Press/Iran News: At a meeting held on Saturday to address the status quo of the consular services to the Iranians in Berlin, Hamburg, and Frankfort, Abbass Araghchi called the German state's action odd and unjustifiable which would bother Iranians living in Germany and other applicants for consular services.
Araghchi stressed that Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs was decisive in taking all possible measures to ensure that Iranians living in Germany have the necessary consular services.
Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned on Monday Germany's ambassador over the interventionist claims by some German authorities about the Islamic Republic's jurisdiction over the execution of a fugitive terrorist.
Jamshid Sharmahd led several terrorist acts in Iran, including the explosion of a Hosseiniyeh in Shiraz, southern Iran, in 2008, which left more than 200 innocent people killed and wounded. Sharmahd was executed on Sunday.
More German interventions over the were followed by the summoning of the country's charge d'affairs in Tehran.
In response, the German state suspended the Iranian consular services to the people in Berlin and some other German cities.
Last week, Berlin said it had approved €45 million worth of arms exports to Israel for the war on Gaza and Lebanon for the entire year up to 13 October — a significantly lower sum than before, all amid rumors that the government had stopped approving arms export permits altogether, according to Euro News.
