Tehran (IP) – The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Hossein Salami has addressed the status of Iran's military advisors in Syria during a closed-door session in the Iranian Parliament. 

Iran PressIran news: According to Ahmad Naderi, a member of Parliament's presidium, the closed session was convened with Salami as the primary speaker. 

The meeting focused on Iran’s regional military strategies, operations involving Israel, and the broader security landscape in the region. Particular attention was given to the evolving situation in Syria and its implications for Iran’s role.

During the session, discussions turned to the fall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government and the future of regional dynamics. Salami clarified that Iranian military advisors had remained in Syria up until the final days of the Assad government. However, he confirmed that there are currently no Iranian forces present in Syria.
