Operation Al-Aqsa Flood Anniv.:

Rafah(IP) - One year has passed since the Operation "Al-Aqsa Flood" on October 7, 2023. However, medical centers in Gaza are still the target of Israeli attacks and sieges, and patients are facing a serious crisis.

Iran Press/ West Asia: On the occasion of the first anniversary of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, Iran Press reporter had an exclusive interview with two Palestinian medical officials in the south of the Gaza Strip, which shows that the disaster of the Gaza war in the past one year has affected the health sector of the Gaza Strip, just as it has affected other aspects of the lives of Palestinians.

"Jamal Al-Hums", the director of Al-Kuwait Field Hospital in Rafah, told Iran Press reporter: "The health and humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is getting worse day by day due to the attacks and siege."

This Palestinian doctor said: "The Israeli regime has destroyed 34 public and private hospitals in the Gaza Strip, and in the past year, 960 Gaza health workers have died."

 

No treatment for pregnant women

 

"Zaher al-Wahidi", the director of the health information unit of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, also stated in an exclusive interview with Iran Press reporter: "The Zionist army has deliberately denied thousands of Palestinian patients from receiving medical care."

"Zaher Al-Wahidi" stated that the Zionist regime has systematically targeted the health sector in Gaza and emphasized: "12,000 cancer patients cannot receive basic treatment, and 50,000 pregnant women are deprived of medical care."

The director of the health information unit of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza also said: "Hundreds of dialysis patients have died due to the lack of health, treatment and dialysis services in Gaza hospitals." 300
