Baghdad (IP): Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hossein announced today (Tuesday) that he will leave for Tehran tomorrow.

Iran PressIran news: The Iraqi Foreign Minister, who announced this news at a joint press conference with his Austrian counterpart in Baghdad, said at the same time: "Iraq's constitution does not allow any party to use the territory of this country to attack neighboring countries."

At the same time, Fuad Hussein added: "We have taken the necessary measures to remove the opposition groups (separatist terrorist groups) from the borders of Iraq and Iran." Stressing that  Iraq adheres to the security agreement signed with Iran.

At the same time, he said: "The security agreement with Austria does not mean that new foreign forces will be added to Iraq."

The Iraqi Foreign Minister's visit to Iran will take place while Bafel Talabani, the Leader of the Patriotic Union of Iraqi Kurdistan Party, met and talked with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian yesterday (Monday, 20th of Shahrivar).

Amir-Abdollahian stated in this meeting: "The presence of terrorists in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and their actions against the security of Iran are in conflict with the Iraqi constitution and the friendly relations between them. "No party should harm the security of Iraq's neighbors."

The joint security cooperation agreement between Iran and Iraq was signed on March 21, 2022 by Ali Shamkhani, the former secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and the national security adviser of the Iraqi Prime Minister in Baghdad.

The deadline for this agreement will end on September 19th of this month. Yesterday, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized the implementation of this agreement and announced that Bafel Talabani's trip to Tehran has nothing to do with bargaining for the extension of the deadline announced for the removal of terrorists from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
