(IP) - Iranian foreign minister announced the country's readiness to host the urgent meeting over the Palestine issue.

Iran PressIran News: Following the recent developments in the occupied territories and upon the fourth day of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a call with Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Referring to the Zionists' massacres, crimes, bombardment of the residential areas, and the cut order over water, food, and electricity supply, the Iranian foreign minister called for an urgent meeting of the OIC foreign ministers, emphasizing the need for Islamic countries to help the oppressed Palestinian people.

Iranian foreign minister and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein had previously discussed the same issue as well.

Holding the meeting was also discussed with Qatari and Omani foreign ministers separately by Iran's Amir-Abdollahian.

Following the formal declaration of war by the Israeli Prime Minister, the tensions in the Gaza Strip are mounting unprecedentedly, adding to the long list of Palestinian civilians getting martyred or wounded.

Upon World Children's Day, October 8, Iranian Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kanaani wrote on the X social media platform that the child-killing Israeli regime welcomes the Palestinian children with gifts made of bombs, rockets, and fire.

So far 90 Palestinian children have been killed.

The Gaza Strip is under complete siege.
