Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani in response to the claims made in the recent statements of European leaders and finance ministers of the G7 countries and some US and European officials regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran and the recent developments in the West Asian region, said: "proposal of such positions and claims are in accordance with the known approach of these circles based on double and contradictory standards which is decisively rejected and condemned by Iran."
kanaani noted: "It is regrettable that the claimants and heralds of international rights and standards took a passive stance and encouraged the aggressor regime in response to the recent attack on the diplomatic headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus by the Zionist regime, which is considered a gross violation of the United Nations Charter and international conventions, furthermore, they condemned the legitimate action and proportionate and deterrent response of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the source of armed aggression.
Kanaani noted: "Expressing concern for peace and security stability in the region and the world by governments such as the United States and several European countries, which have been the main supporters of major wars, occupations, and insecurities in the West Asian region for more than half a century, as well as a supporter of the occupying, apartheid and criminal regime of Israel is ridiculous.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted: "The authorities of Europe and the member countries of G7 know very well that the main root of the crisis and instability in West Asia and, of course, on a wider scale in the world, is the occupation of Palestine and the crimes of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories for several decades which has deprived the oppressed Palestinian people of their basic rights. No doubt turning a blind eye to the obvious facts and baseless accusations against others by the US and Europe will not solve the problem of regional and international security.
Kanaani added: "If the United States, the European Union, and the member countries of the G7 are looking for lasting stability and peace in West Asia and the Red Sea, instead of accusing others, they should stand up against the aggressions and killings of the Zionist regime.
It is obvious that as long as there is no will to stop the crimes of the Israeli regime and the flagrant violation of international regulations by the Zionists, there will be no clear perspective on the path of sustainable peace in the region and the world, and the responsibility for the continuation of instabilities and insecurities fall no one other than the Zionist regime and its supporters.
The Iranian senior diplomat emphasized that the government and the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran continue to be responsible for regional peace and security while adhering to international laws and regulations, however, they will not hesitate in defense of national security and interests and response to the aggressors would not hesitate. 219
