Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman denied any military presence of Iran in Ukraine to train Russian forces and called such claims politically biased.

Iran Press/Iran news: Nasser Kanani said that such rootless claims proposed were against the Islamic Republic of Iran's fundamental approaches.

Kanaani one more time emphasized Iran's principles to stop war and solve conflicts between Ukraine and Russia through political ways.

The denial of Iran came as Andriy Kostin, Ukraine's Prosecutor General, claimed that a case was opened against an IRGC brigadier general, Abbas Mousavi Sharifi Mollasaraei, on suspicion of aiding Russia in the Ukrainian war.

"To date, we have provided more than $55.5 billion in military assistance since Russia launched its premeditated, unprovoked, and brutal full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and approximately $58.3 billion in military assistance since Russia’s initial invasion of Ukraine in 2014," the US Department of Defense announced in a report released on August 23, 2024.
